Meta Ads, run by Claude.
A skill that lets Claude read and manage your Meta Ads account directly — audits, reporting, campaign builds, A/B tests, catalog and pixel troubleshooting — through Meta's own first-party ads MCP server at mcp.facebook.com/ads. This guide gets you connected and installed in about fifteen minutes.
Four steps, then Claude is your Meta Ads sidekick.
Work through these in order. Each one takes a minute or two — click a step on the left, or use the arrows at the bottom of each panel.
Connect Meta's ads MCP server
In April 2026 Meta launched mcp.facebook.com/ads as its own first-party remote MCP server, with native support for Claude, ChatGPT and Perplexity. There are two ways to connect it, depending on whether you want to register your own Meta app.
- No Meta developer app? Use Meta's own guided setupMeta publishes a no-app path for this — follow their "Meta ads AI connectors" instructions from the Business Help Center. It walks you through adding the connector in your AI client and authorizing with Facebook Login for Business — no code required.
- Want your own app / Claude Code (CLI)?Create or reuse an app at developers.facebook.com/apps and add the "Create & manage ads with ads MCP server" use case.
- AuthenticateEither OAuth (redirects you to Facebook Login for Business, no manual token) or a user access token from the Graph API Explorer scoped to ads_mcp_management, ads_read, ads_management, catalog_management, business_management, pages_show_list, instagram_basic.
- Add the server in Claude CodeRun the command below, swapping in your Meta app's ID as the client ID.
claude mcp add --transport http --client-id <META_APP_ID> meta-ads https://mcp.facebook.com/ads Server URL, if you need it on its own: https://mcp.facebook.com/ads. Connecting from ChatGPT instead? Choose OAuth, paste that same URL as the server URL, and put your Meta app ID in Advanced OAuth Settings as the Client ID.
Install the meta-ads-operator skill
The connector gives Claude raw access to Meta's tools. The skill is what turns that into judgment — it tells Claude the right order to check things in, when to ask before changing anything, and how to read the numbers like an operator instead of a dashboard.
- Download the skill fileHead to the download section at the bottom of this guide and get meta-ads-operator.skill.
- Open it in ClaudeDrop the file into a Claude conversation, or upload it from Settings → Capabilities → Skills.
- Click "Save skill"This installs it to your account — Claude will now consult it automatically whenever a Meta Ads task calls for it.
No configuration needed after that. The skill only activates for Meta Ads work — it stays out of the way otherwise.
Try it on your own account
Once connected and installed, just ask in plain language. Here are a few to start with — tap copy and drop one into a new chat.
"Audit my Meta ad account and tell me what's actually wrong with it."
"Pull my performance trend for the last 30 days and flag anything unusual."
"Check my pixel and dataset quality — am I losing data anywhere?"
"Set up an A/B test comparing two audiences for my next campaign."
"What changed in my ad account this week? Performance dropped and I don't know why."
What Claude will — and won't — do on its own
The skill is built with the same discipline KiriMedia applies to client accounts: look before you touch, confirm before you spend.
Download the skill. Connect the account. Ask Claude.
This is the same skill file referenced in Step 02 — general-purpose, works with any Meta Ads account, not just KiriMedia's clients.
